Revision days archive
Revision days are a great opportunity for students to spend a day on intensive examination preparation.
A Revision Day usually focuses on the content of a specific unit, e.g. Core 1, Mechanics 1. Sometimes Revision Days are for one awarding body's specification only but often students are split into groups so that the day can cover more than one awarding body's specification. Most Revision Days are open to any student - please contact the Revision Day organiser to confirm whether this is the case, for details of costs and to confirm your attendance.
The majority of Revision Days are hosted at a university. This has many benefits; school and college students value greatly opportunities to experience learning in a ‘different, new and inspirational’ environment that a university can bring. Generally there is also the opportunity for students to find out more about university courses and how they can build upon the mathematics that they are learning at school/ college.
Revision Days are also an excellent CPD opportunity for teachers.
They provide a very time-efficient means for teachers to get an overview of a module, from basic content through to addressing tricky aspects of examination questions. If you are a teacher and would like to attend a Revision Day on this basis then please contact the organiser.

At a Revision Day, students receive a substantial revision pack for the specification they follow containing summary sheets and handwritten complete solutions to exam questions. The charge is £10 for students who are not studying through the Further Mathematics Network. Cheques are payable to University of Manchester.
Your school/college is responsible for complying with regulations regarding trips for your students. Please let us know if there is anything you think we might be able to help with. Teachers can attend the Revision Days free of charge, they represent an excellent opportunity for teachers to get an overview of a module they may not have taught before.

Integration: Finding areas using integration and the

These will be held at Leeds University on May 8th 11am -3.30pm with a half hour break for lunch (bring your own) and will cost £8 with a revision pack provided.
