A key aim of the Further Mathematics Network is to enrich students’ experience of mathematics wherever possible. There is particular focus on students at Key Stages 3 and 4 as well as at sixth-form level. Formats used to provide such enrichment include:

Senior Team Mathematics Challenge

A national team mathematics competition for students in years 11-13.

County Durham - Gala Theatre, Durham

Maths Inspiration is a chance for sixth formers and Year 11s to experience the UKs most inspiring maths speakers live presenting mathematics in the context of real-world and often fun situations.
The live talks have been enjoyed by the many students and teachers who attended last year from across the region. There is only an afternoon event only on 17th November so early booking through the Maths Inspiration website is recommended.
